International law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP has added Jamie R. Adams to its San Francisco office as an associate in the firm’s Labor & Employment Practice. Adams joins the firm from Lamb & Kawakami LLP, where she counseled clients on a broad range of labor and employment matters. In the area of traditional labor law, Adams has advised clients regarding labor disputes and defended unfair labor practice charges before the National Labor Relations Board.

Adams represents clients in litigation matters including wage and hour, discrimination and harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination cases. She routinely consults with human resources professionals, executives, and board members regarding all aspects of the employment relationship, including hiring and firing practices, employment contracts, enforceability of covenants not to compete, and reductions in force. She has also reviewed and drafted numerous employment policies, employee handbooks, executive compensation agreements, severance agreements, and nondisclosure agreements.

In addition to her employment practice, Adams also represents clients in various business matters, and has negotiated real property purchase and sale agreements, property management agreements, licensing and distribution agreements, and service contracts.

“Jamie brings depth to our already established California labor and employment team and expands on our capabilities within the San Francisco office,” said Chuck Birenbaum, chair of Greenberg Traurig’s Northern California offices. “Her addition to our expanding San Francisco office shows Greenberg Traurig’s commitment to attracting top-quality attorneys and building on the depth of services we offer our clients.”

Adams holds a J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law and a B.A. from the University of Southern California.
