The Los Angeles office of Lathrop & Gage has seen the addition of Carole Handler. Handler leaves Wildman, Harrold, Allen & Dixon and joins Lathrop’s intellectual property and business litigation practice groups.

Seyfarth Shaw has taken on two Labor & Employment attorneys. Jeffrey A. Berman has joined as a partner and Joan E. Smiles joins as Of Counsel in Los Angeles. Both formerally practiced with Sidley Austin.

Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP has hired a new partner in its Los Angeles office. Jon Atzen joins the firm’s Corporate practice. He was previously a partner with DLA Piper.

Foley & Lardner’s San Francisco office has seen the addition of a new partner. Robert B. Anderson has joined the firm’s Finance & Financial Institutions Practice and the Energy Industry Team. He left Nixon Peabody for this opportunity.

Sidley Austin LLP has hired boosted its Palo Alto and China offices with the hire of Yabo Lin. Lin joins the firm as a partner in the corporate department. He will split his time between Palo Alto and China.
