Dickstein Shapiro LLP is pleased to announce the expansion of its Employment Practice on the West Coast with the arrival of employment litigator Arthur Silbergeld in the Los Angeles office. Mr. Silbergeld, who is annually identified as one of the top employment litigators in California, will lead the firm’s Employment Practice in California. Mr. Silbergeld has defended numerous employers in federal and state bench and jury trials in class action and individual claims.

He frequently conducts trainings for supervisors on personnel compliance, harassment, anti-discrimination and union avoidance issues, and he has taught courses on federal and California wage and hour and leave of absence laws. Mr. Silbergeld is the class action editor of Bender’s California Labor & Employment Bulletin. He also is a fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers and is currently on the executive board of the California Committee South of Human Rights Watch. Mr. Silbergeld received his J.D. from Temple University School of Law, his Master of City Planning from the University of Pennsylvania, and his B.A. from the University of Michigan in 1968.
