Hunton & Williams LLP announces Robert M. Johnson has joined the real estate practice as a partner in the firm’s Los Angeles office. Johnson, who comes to the firm from Seyfarth Shaw LLP, focuses his practice on commercial real estate development and finance. He has represented owners and investors in all aspects of acquiring, leasing and developing office, retail and industrial property throughout the Western United States. His arrival follows that of Washington partner Rori Malech earlier this year and of Jerome Dano and Valerie Kitay as counsel in New York last month. Chris Hasbrouck, also from Seyfarth Shaw LLP, will join the firm as an associate to work alongside Johnson.

“California has a dynamic real estate market and bringing Robert on board is the logical next step in expanding our national platform,” says Howard E. Schreiber, co-head of the firm’s global real estate practice. “He is an outstanding addition to our growing real estate practice and we welcome him to the team.”

Johnson adds, “The opportunity to join Hunton & Williams was compelling, from the history of the firm to its present-day standing in the legal community. I am pleased to be a member of its future.”
