Norton Rose Fulbright today announced that intellectual property lawyer Troy Schmelzer has joined the global law firm’s Los Angeles office as a partner. He comes to Norton Rose Fulbright from DLA Piper.
Schmelzer focuses his practice on patent prosecution, portfolio management and strategic counseling in a wide variety of technologies, including mobile devices, communication equipment and systems, imaging products, semiconductor devices and medical devices.

Schmelzer is admitted to practice in California, Illinois and Arizona and is registered to practice before the US Patent and Trademark Office. He received both his JD and his BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
