Pepper Hamilton LLP announced today that Mark A. Kadzielski will join the firm on July 1, 2013. He will head Pepper’s Health Care Industry Group from its Los Angeles office, giving Pepper a national platform for its growing Health Care practice.

Kadzielski and four other attorneys are coming to Pepper from Norton Rose Fulbright in Los Angeles. Kadzielski was a partner there and headed that firm’s West Coast health law practice. Accompanying Kadzielski in the move to Pepper will be Kristina Pervi Ayers, Tambry Lynette Bradford, Jee-Young Kim and Dayna C. Nicholson.

Kadzielski and his team represent hospitals, medical staffs, managed care enterprises, and institutional and individual health care providers throughout the United States. His work includes government regulatory investigations, contracting issues, credentialing, peer review, licensing, medical staff bylaws, joint commission accreditation and Medicare certification.

He has prepared more than 200 sets of medical staff bylaws and has handled numerous peer review hearings and appeals, including litigation in many courts.

Kadzielski has been ranked annually since 2005 in the top tier of California health care lawyers by Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business. For the past 25 years, he has been listed in the health care section of The Best Lawyers in America and was selected for inclusion on the 2004-2013 Southern California Super Lawyers lists in health law. In 2005, Kadzielski was one of four Californians and 40 attorneys nationwide to be inducted to the inaugural class of Fellows by the American Health Lawyers Association. He also is a member of the California Society for Healthcare Attorneys.

He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Law School (J.D. 1976) and John Carroll University (A.B., magna cum laude, 1968).
