McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP (MLA) is pleased to welcome Stephen M. Nichols to MLA’s Litigation practice.  Nichols will be located in the firm’s Los Angeles office where he will focus on complex product liability and toxic tort lawsuits.

“We are very pleased to welcome Steve as a partner and to add his significant skill set and trial experience to our litigation practice,” said Tami Lyn Azorsky, MLA Litigation Department chair.  “Steve brings additional value to the product liability litigation services we provide to our clients on the West Coast.”

Nichols’ practice focuses on a broad range of defense litigation with extensive experience in the defense of corporations in cases involving toxic torts including asbestos exposure, premises liability, and construction defect cases.

His trial experience has earned him admission into the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), an invitation-only organization of attorneys with significant active experience as trial lawyers.  His repeated courtroom success in substantial cases throughout Northern and Southern California has been widely recognized.

Nichols received his J.D. from Loyola Law School and B.S. from Santa Clara University.  He is admitted to practice in California and the Ninth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals, U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Central, Eastern and Southern Districts of California and Hawaii.
