Morgan Lewis today announced that Malcolm Goeschl—a well-known Bay Area immigration lawyer—has joined the firm as a partner in its Labor and Employment Practice, resident in San Francisco. Mr. Goeschl has been an immigration lawyer for his entire career and specializes in the challenges facing emerging businesses that are founded by or that employ foreign talent.

“Malcolm strengthens our substantial immigration practice on the West Coast, enabling us to continue delivering the high quality work product and the excellent service our clients know they will receive from our labor and employment team,” said Joseph J. Costello, leader of the Labor and Employment Practice at Morgan Lewis.

Mr. Goeschl has more than 14 years of immigration law experience involving a wide range of clients, including large multinationals and small start-ups. Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Mr. Goeschl was the principal attorney at his own firm, Goeschl Law Corporation, which he founded in January 2005. Before that, he was a senior associate at an international law firm.

He joins a Labor and Employment team that has been a finalist or winner in The American Lawyer Magazine’s “Litigation Department of the Year: Labor and Employment Law” contest since 2004. Top ranked in directories and surveys like Chambers, Legal 500, and Law360‘s “Employment Groups of the Year”; the practice is home to more than 250 lawyers, paralegals, and employment specialists covering every geographic region.
