Matheson has announced that it is further expanding its offices in the United States. Gina Conheady, a senior corporate lawyer in the firm’s pre-eminent international business practice, is relocating to Matheson’s Palo Alto office where she will work alongside the firm’s existing team of Irish tax, finance and investment funds lawyers already based in the United States.

Matheson also announced that Julian Michael, a senior IT/IP lawyer with more than 10 years’ experience working in senior legal roles in Silicon Valley, is joining the firm’s Dublin office. Julian will focus on advising the firm’s technology and pharma clients.

Liam Quirke, Managing Partner, Matheson said: “Advising international companies and financial institutions doing business in and through Ireland is the primary focus of our firm. These appointments will further enhance the firm’s unrivalled offering to our international clients.

These appointments are also an important investment by Matheson in the promotion of Ireland. Ireland depends on international companies, many of which are our clients, for 80% of its exports.

Matheson employs more than 600 people in its Dublin, London, New York and Palo Alto offices.
