The Walt Disney Company has agreed to acquire Lucasfilm Ltd. in a stock and cash transaction valued at $4.05 billion. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions.

Lucasfilm is 100% owned by Lucasfilm Chairman and Founder, George Lucas. Latham & Watkins LLP is advising Lucasfilm in the transaction with a corporate deal team led from the firm’s Silicon Valley (Menlo Park, CA) office by partners Christopher “Kit” Kaufman”, Tad Freese and Jamie Leigh, with associates Chad Rolston, Abtin Jalali and Charlotte Chang.
