Simpson Thacher represented the initial purchasers, led by J.P. Morgan, in connection with the offering by Air Lease Corporation of $450 million aggregate principal amount of 4.500% Senior Notes due 2016. The offering was conducted pursuant to Rule 144A and Regulation S. The net proceeds of the offering will be used to fund the acquisition of commercial aircraft and for other general corporate purposes.
Launched in 2010, Air Lease Corporation is an aircraft leasing company, principally engaged in purchasing commercial aircraft and leasing them to its airline partners around the world.
