Simpson Thacher represented Oaktree Capital Group, LLC in the registered follow-on offering of 8.05 million Class A units representing limited liability company interests. Morgan Stanley, BofA Merrill Lynch and Credit Suisse were the joint global coordinators for the approximately $431 million offering. Oaktree intends to use all of the net proceeds from the offering to acquire interests in its business from certain of its directors, employees and other investors.
