Anderson Kill has opened an office in Los Angeles, California to facilitate and expand the firm’s insurance recovery work on the west coast.

Bridget Byrnes Hirsch, an experienced insurance recovery attorney who began her career with Anderson Kill, has returned to Anderson Kill as of counsel basis and will practice in Anderson Kill’s new office, located in the KPMG Building in Wells Fargo Plaza at 355 South Grand Avenue, just a few blocks from the Superior Court for Los Angeles County in downtown LA.

Ms. Hirsch joined Anderson Kill in 2002 and worked at Anderson Kill until 2008, representing corporations in business litigation, insurance recovery, bad faith, and bankruptcy matters. After a stint in the insurance recovery practice elsewhere, she founded her own practice, the Los Angeles-based Law Office of Bridget B. Hirsch, which she will maintain while working of counsel at Anderson Kill.

Ms. Hirsch has represented major corporations including banks, pharmaceuticals and communications companies in insurance recovery litigation arising from shareholder lawsuits, product liability, trademark disputes and tort litigation. She has represented policyholders throughout the life of underlying claims, from notice of claim through resolution and recovery; insurance recovery litigation and ADR.

In addition to her insurance recovery work, Ms. Hirsch has diverse experience in general litigation and transactional matters. She has represented clients in corporate governance matters, shareholder disputes, intellectual property matters, and civil litigation. She often has worked with co-counsel in a litigation management and consultant role.

Robert M. Horkovich, Anderson Kill’s managing shareholder, commented, “Bridget is a terrific policyholder’s attorney with top-flight management skills, great to have on any litigation team. We’re delighted to welcome her back to anchor our efforts on behalf of clients on the West Coast.”

Anderson Kill has long-term relationships in California with major clients it has represented in high-stakes insurance coverage litigation.
