Global specialist law firm Dechert LLP announced today that Lloyd J. MacNeil has joined the firm as a partner in the corporate practice. Most recently a partner at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP, he will be resident in the firm’s Los Angeles office.
“We are pleased to have Lloyd join the firm,” said Daniel O’Donnell, Dechert’s Chief Executive Officer. “He is a strong addition to our corporate group and his energy experience is a key enhancement to our global practice.”
MacNeil focuses his practice on the energy and infrastructure sector, advising on project development and financing, as well as mergers and acquisitions. His experience includes representing project sponsors, developers, lenders and investors on a variety of renewable and nonrenewable energy transactions, including notably representing the developer in the first large portfolio of wind projects to use a leveraged lease finance structure in the United States.
“This is a great opportunity for my clients as well as my practice. Dechert’s global capabilities are impressive and I look forward to working with the team,” MacNeil said.
