Fisher Phillips, a national labor and employment law firm representing employers, is pleased to announce the addition of Cheryl Schreck as a partner in Los Angeles. Schreck joins the firm from Ogletree Deakins Nash Smoak & Stewart, P.C., where she was a shareholder in the firm’s employment practice.

With over three decades of experience in labor and employment law, Schreck defends employers in state and federal court against discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, retaliation, and wage and hour claims. She also advises and counsels employers on a full range of labor and employment workforce issues. In addition, she is well known for her ability to handle high-level investigations of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, employee misconduct and other employment-related claims, and she counsels employers on appropriate discipline and resolution strategies.

“Cheryl’s wealth of knowledge and experience handling sensitive HR issues and investigations will be an invaluable resource to our clients and the firm,” said Todd Scherwin, managing partner of the firm’s Los Angeles office. “She is well known as a strategic counselor, investigator and advisor. We are thrilled to have her as part of our team.”

Schreck received her J.D. from the University of Tennessee College of Law (1984) and her B.A., cum laude, from Vanderbilt University (1981). Following law school, she worked as a law clerk for the Honorable Herschel P. Franks of the Tennessee Court of Appeals.
