Hanson Bridgett LLP expands its environmental practice with the addition of two attorneys. The firm is pleased to welcome Davina Pujari as a partner and Christopher Jensen as counsel to its San Francisco office.

“With Davina and Chris we are adding two top flight environmental litigation and counseling experts with a specialization in white collar defense,” said David Longinotti, Chair of the Real Estate and Construction Section. “As people, Davina and Chris fit our culture like a glove, and we are looking forward to our collaboration.”

Davina is a seasoned trial attorney who has practiced environmental and criminal law for more than 20 years, handling complex matters in federal and state court. Davina is also an expert in regulatory and administrative forums, having worked as an enforcement attorney for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in Washington, D.C. and represented companies in administrative enforcement and penalty actions.

Prior to joining the private sector, Davina was a Senior Assistant District Attorney in the Special Prosecutions Division of the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office and an Assistant United States Attorney in the Northern District of California. In both offices, Davina investigated and prosecuted environmental crimes and as well as white collar crimes such as fraud, bribery, false statements and obstruction of justice.

Chris has been practicing law for more than 10 years and advises his clients in connection with a wide range of environmental and land use issues, including site remediation, brownfields redevelopment, Proposition 65, air and water quality laws, and CEQA and NEPA compliance. He represents clients in environmental and civil litigation, including toxic tort litigation, real property disputes, and environmental cost recovery litigation. He also has experience helping businesses respond to and resolve government investigations and regulatory proceedings at the state and federal level.
