Hopkins & Carley, a law firm serving Silicon Valley businesses and individuals, adds veteran intellectual property litigator Jeffrey Ratinoff. Joining from K&L Gates LLP, Ratinoff has more than 15 years of experience representing clients in technology-driven litigation in state and federal trial and appellate courts, as well as the International Trade Commission.

Ratinoff’s patent litigation practice includes representing computer design and manufacturing companies, data storage device manufacturers, smartphone and tablet makers, network security providers, semiconductor and memory chip fabricators, and computer software companies. In addition, he has extensive experience protecting and defending intellectual property rights in trade secret misappropriation, trademark infringement, unfair competition, anti-counterfeiting, false advertising, trade libel and copyright infringement matters. Ratinoff also regularly advises clients on intellectual property protection and enforcement programs, including implementing procedures and safeguards for protecting inventions, trade secrets and other confidential information.
