The Los Angeles office of global law firm K&L Gates LLP has added Charles E. Schwenck as a partner in the energy, infrastructure and resources practice. Schwenck arrives from Foley & Lardner LLP.
Schwenck has an international practice advising developers, owners (both private and governmental), constructors, and financiers of energy, infrastructure, water, and mining projects in connection with the acquisition, development, construction, financing, operation, and disposition of such projects. He is also active in the structuring of public-private partnerships and the obtaining of governmental concessions, permits, and approvals.
“Charles has vast experience in his field of practice, and we are excited he is joining this office,” said Paul W. Sweeney, Jr., Administrative Partner of K&L Gates’ Los Angeles office. “We look forward to his teaming with the energy and infrastructure attorneys here and across our global platform to service our clients.”
Schwenck is the most recent partner addition to K&L Gates’ growing energy practice, with the firm earlier this year having welcomed William Holmes and Teresa Hill in Portland, Anthony Newton in Houston, David Wochner in Washington, D.C., and Steven Sparling in both the Washington, D.C., and Houston offices.
