The San Francisco office of global law firm K&L Gates LLP welcomes Paul C. Lacourciere as a partner in the energy & infrastructure projects practice. Lacourciere joins K&L Gates from Greenbridge Corporate Counsel.

Lacourciere has extensive experience as a transactional and regulatory lawyer in the energy sector, particularly in the wind energy and solar electricity industries. As counsel to both major suppliers and purchasers, he has negotiated equipment supply, installation, and service agreements for numerous wind energy projects throughout the United States and Canada. A substantial portion of his practice is devoted to work in the solar electricity industry, structuring power purchase agreements and advising on compliance with regulations governing the sale of electricity in California. He has regularly appeared  before the California Public Utilities Commission to advocate on policy matters and resolve disputes on behalf of clients.

In addition to practicing law, Lacourciere has worked as a planning engineer for utility companies and was the co-founder of both a California biofuel company as well as a solar energy company in Haiti.
