Jennifer Frasier Hayes recently joined Luce, Forward, Hamilton & Scripps LLP as special counsel to the firm’s Bankruptcy / Insolvency practice group. Ms. Hayes will work out of the firm’s San Francisco office.

Ms. Hayes will enhance Luce Forward’s representation of court appointed fiduciaries, creditors committees, creditors in litigation, asset sales and acquisitions, and statutory liquidation proceedings, as well as the Firm’s litigation capabilities. She will work closely with partners Michael A. Isaacs, Charles P. Maher, Barry Milgrom and Jeffrey L. Fillerup.

Ms. Hayes brings 17 years of experience in bankruptcy law, having represented debtors, secured creditors, and unsecured creditors in complex chapter 11 cases. Most recently she served as the law clerk to U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Thomas E. Carlson. As a law clerk, Ms. Hayes analyzed a myriad of contested matters and adversary proceedings for decisions in cases arising under chapters 7, 11, and 13, and was involved in drafting hundreds of written decisions and orders. Previously, Ms. Hayes represented clients in complex commercial litigation and business transactions. Ms. Hayes obtained a J.D. and an LL.M. in empirical bankruptcy studies from the University of Texas School of Law, under Professors Jay L. Westbrook, Teresa A. Sullivan and Elizabeth Warren.
