Morrison & Foerster, a leading global law firm, is pleased to announce that Khoa Do has joined the firm’s Corporate practice and Mergers & Acquisitions Group as a partner in its Palo Alto office. Mr. Do comes to Morrison & Foerster from Jones Day.

Mr. Do has 20 years of experience advising public and private companies on M&A transactions, including numerous cross-border deals. He has represented a large number of leading technology companies in Silicon Valley, and also has significant experience advising businesses across a broad range of industries.

“Khoa joining Morrison & Foerster highlights our continued commitment to further growing our deep pool of talented corporate lawyers,” said Eric McCrath, co-chair of Morrison & Foerster’s Mergers & Acquisitions Group and Private Equity Investments & Buyouts Group. “Khoa will enable us to provide even stronger support to technology clients, including public companies, in the San Francisco Bay Area market and beyond. His addition also underscores our focus on maintaining our strength in the Bay Area, where we have been a leader for many decades.”

Timothy Harris, managing partner of Morrison & Foerster’s Palo Alto office, added: “Khoa will be a tremendous complement to our Corporate practice in Palo Alto. He will add to our existing strengths and provide further depth to our M&A capabilities. His practice is also a perfect fit with our technology expertise.”

Mr. Do’s practice is focused on advising dynamic public and private companies on M&A transactions ranging from mid-market to large-scale acquisitions. He has been involved in significant transactions, including strategic mergers and business combinations, asset and stock acquisitions, complex cross-border acquisitions, tender offers, and spinoffs. Mr. Do has been recognized by numerous media outlets for his M&A experience and accomplishments. He earned his J.D. from Northwestern University and his B.A. in economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

“Morrison & Foerster has an unmatched reputation in the Bay Area, a large base of technology clients, and an innovative vision to build on its legacy,” Mr. Do said. “The firm’s leading Technology Transactions practice will add significant value to existing clients and provide opportunities to work with additional companies. I look forward to partnering with my new colleagues in Palo Alto and our other locations to further expand the firm’s outstanding corporate offerings.”

The addition of Mr. Do to the firm’s partnership is just the latest example of Morrison & Foerster further strengthening its presence in the Bay Area. In 2017, the firm welcomed white-collar partner Joshua Hill, as well as a six-member Intellectual Property Litigation Group led by partners Stefani Shanberg and Jennifer Schmidt, to its San Francisco office.
