The firm is proud to announce the addition of 3 attorneys to their San Diego and Del Mar Heights offices. Amy S. Cannon joins the firm as Of Counsel, while Michael R. Kiesling joins as Senior Counsel, and Ryan M. Dietz joins as an associate.

Amy S. Cannon’s practice focuses on real estate transactions, including real property purchase and sale, commercial leasing, easements and licenses, financing and related business matters. Ms. Cannon’s clients have included owners and developers of shopping centers, commercial and industrial office buildings and residential subdivisions, commercial tenants, property managers, real estate investment companies, banking institutions, and automobile manufacturers and dealership owners. Ms. Cannon earned her B.A. in Political Science from University of California, Berkeley, cum laude, and her J.D. from Tulane University Law School, summa cum laude. While attending law school, Ms. Cannon clerked for The Honorable Stanwood R. Duval, Jr. at the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana. After graduating, Ms. Cannon was an associate at Latham & Watkins and then at Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton.

Michael R. Kiesling has a broad-based real estate and commercial litigation practice, assisting developers, landowners, contractors, lenders, and commercial tenants in achieving creative and cost-effective solutions to complex real estate and commercial disputes. In serving clients, Mr. Kiesling draws upon years of experience mediating, arbitrating, and litigating matters involving contracts, title to property, construction defects, delays, and liens, claims of fraud, government taking of property, and landlord-tenant issues. Mr. Kiesling earned his J.D. from University of San Diego School of Law, cum laude, Order of the Coif, and his B.S. in Microbiology from The Ohio State University. While in law school, Mr. Kiesling served as an Executive Editor of the San Diego Law Review. Prior to joining Procopio, Mr. Kiesling practiced at McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP (formerly Luce, Forward, Hamilton & Scripps, LLP) in San Diego. Mr. Kiesling began his legal career in the Litigation Department of the Office of the General Counsel at Sempra Energy in San Diego. In 2009, Mr. Kiesling received recognition as a San Diego Daily Transcript “Young Attorney” finalist. Mr. Kiesling currently sits on the Board of Management of the YMCA Overnight Camping Branch, and serves as its Secretary.

Ryan M. Dietz’s practice encompasses business and civil litigation with a focus on construction litigation and construction disputes. Mr. Dietz graduated from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2012, where he was a Faculty Honor Scholarship recipient. During law school, Mr. Dietz clerked with Procopio’s litigation team and construction practice group, and interned with the United States Army JAG Corps. Mr. Dietz received a B.A. in Politics from Pomona College in 2008.
