The global law firm Jones Day has announced that Taylor L. Stevens has joined the Firm as a partner in the San Diego Office, where he is now a member of Jones Day’s M&A Practice. Mr. Stevens moved to Jones Day from the San Diego Office of Morrison & Foerster, where he was a partner in the Corporate Practice.

Mr. Stevens has consummated a significant number of acquisition and securities transactions, including mergers and acquisitions valued at more than $6 billion, venture capital transactions raising more than $2 billion, and capital markets transactions raising in excess of $1.5 billion. His experience includes the representation of numerous public and private companies in corporate and financing matters, including venture capital financings, mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, and capital markets transactions. Mr. Stevens has worked with companies in a variety of industries, including digital and social media, hardware, software, semiconductor, medical device, and consumer products. He is recommended as a leading lawyer by Legal 500 US for his venture capital and emerging companies practice.

Mr. Stevens earned his law degree from the Santa Clara University School of Law, also earned an MBA from Santa Clara University, and received his undergraduate degree from University of California, Berkeley. He has served on the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors of CONNECT, a globally-recognized trade organization fostering the creation of innovative technology products in the San Diego region, since 2011.
