Troutman Sanders LLP announced today that Wynter Deagle and Justin Nahama have joined the firm’s Business Litigation practice as partners in the San Diego office. Deagle and Nahama previously practiced at Mintz Levin. With Deagle and Nahama, the firm has added three lateral partners to the San Diego office in the past eight months.
Both Deagle and Nahama have been lead counsel on numerous cases on behalf of both public and private companies. Deagle has experience litigating cases in numerous state and federal courts, including for clients in the technology, life sciences, financial and professional services sectors. Nahama has successfully navigated complex civil cases in various state and federal proceedings, including jury trials, arbitrations and mediations.

A seasoned trial lawyer, Deagle’s practice focuses on all manner of business disputes, including commercial litigation, corporate governance, fiduciary duties, class actions and First Amendment claims. Deagle also has extensive experience counseling directors and officers of both public and private companies on corporate governance issues and fiduciary duties. Deagle also advises on data breach incident management and response, privacy related litigation and regulatory inquiries related to data security practices.

Leveraging his extensive trial experience as a judge advocate in the U.S. Marine Corps, Nahama’s practice focuses on business litigation, intellectual property, technology, white collar defense and government investigations and enforcement. He also represents entrepreneurs in all facets of start-up ventures, including litigation-avoidance strategies.

Over the past three years, Troutman Sanders has added 18 lateral partners on the West Coast. The firm has continued to expand its capabilities in areas including corporate, intellectual property, litigation, cybersecurity, real estate, venture capital, finance, life sciences and technology. The firm now has nearly 100 lawyers practicing in San Francisco, Orange County, San Diego and Portland.

Deagle earned her bachelor’s degrees in political science and French from Roger Williams University and her J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law. Nahama earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Marist College and his J.D. from Boston University School of Law.
