Edwards Wildman Palmer LLP is pleased to announce that David (Dave) L. Anderson, an intellectual property lawyer widely considered a thought leader in the videogaming and interactive entertainment industries, has joined the firm as counsel in the Los Angeles office.

Anderson regularly counsels clients on a range of business development initiatives, IP, data protection, privacy, software, online and technology issues and agreements. His experience includes development, publishing, distribution, advertising, promotion, licensing, IT, joint venture, start-ups and merger and acquisition transactions. He advises private and public clients on all aspects of privacy and information law, including COPPA, privacy policies, and data breach notifications and has designed and implemented corporate compliance programs. Anderson is a founding board member of the Videogame Bar Association.

Anderson earned his undergraduate degree from University of California, Davis, and his law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of Law. He is admitted to practice in California.

Prior to joining Edwards Wildman, Anderson was the Vice President, Business & Legal Affairs, at videogame developer and publisher THQ Inc. Before that he was a partner at Nixon Peabody LLP and earlier at Offner & Anderson PC.
