Dewey & LeBoeuf is representing eBay Inc. in its sale of Rent.com to PRIMEDIA. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
Rent.com is a leading US property rental site, aimed specifically at property managers. The site was acquired by eBay in 2005. PRIMEDIA owns a portfolio of online rental and property sales websites.
The firm has served as long-time legal counsel to eBay, handling many of the company’s major deals over the last several years. These deals include eBay’s $2.4 billion acquisition of GSI Commerce and the sale of its 65 percent stake of Skype for $1.9 billion.
Dewey & LeBoeuf’s team was led by Partner Keith Flaum, who worked alongside the in-house team at eBay, and was assisted by Associate Gabriel Shapiro. The Dewey & LeBoeuf team also comprised Partners John Brockland and Rob Finkel and Associates Zen Zhang and William Kellogg.
