Paul Hastings LLP, a leading global law firm, announced today that the firm represented Confluence Solar, Inc. in its acquisition by GT Advanced Technologies Inc., a supplier of polysilicon production equipment and crystalline growth systems.
Confluence Solar, Inc., the developer of HiCz (TM), a continuously-fed Czochralski (CCz) growth technology that enables the production of high efficiency monocrystalline solar ingots, was purchased for $60 million in cash upon closing and up to $20 million of cash earn-outs in 2013 determined upon performance terms specified by GT Advanced Technologies.
Corporate practice partner Robert Claassen led the Paul Hastings team, which included partners Matthew Berger and Daniel Kim and associatesJason Sanderson and Caroline Hunter.
