Carroll, Burdick & McDonough LLP, a preeminent litigation and business law firm working both nationally and internationally, adds Richard J. Zuromski, Jr. as a partner in its San Francisco office. Focused on defending a variety of class action matters, Zuromski joins the firm after nearly a decade at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP.

Class action litigation has been a challenge for many companies, and Richard is a fabulous complement to our accomplished group with his solid litigation experience, rich background in environmental engineering and intensive community involvements,” said Carroll Burdick’s Managing Partner Vicki Freimann.

Zuromski has handled a broad spectrum of complex litigation matters, including those involving: consumer class actions, antitrust, trade secrets, unfair competition, false advertising, breach of contract and environmental issues. Prior to his legal career, he spent eight years as an environmental engineer at Port Hueneme, Calif., where he spearheaded large-scale environmental clean-up projects and recycling, emission and hazard reduction efforts.

Mr. Zuromski is currently a commissioner and former chair of the City of Pacifica Parks, Beaches & Recreation Commission, and is also involved in a variety of other civic activities in the City of Pacifica. He earned his J.D., cum laude, from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles (2003) and his B.S. in environmental engineering from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, Calif. Zuromski also has a P.E. (Professional Engineering) certification from the State of Arizona with proficiency in environmental engineering.
