Kirsty Shelton Gerosa has joined Farella Braun + Martel LLP as a land use planner in its St. Helena, Calif. office. A seasoned land use and environmental planning professional, Gerosa will focus on wine industry and renewable energy project development.

Gerosa secures critical land use entitlements, applicable permits and environmental approval for large and small land use projects, assisting with strategy and execution from concept to completion. Gerosa brings significant experience in North Bay city and county land use regulations, current political issues, green house gas emission analysis and renewable energy projects.

Prior to joining Farella, Gerosa was a senior land use planner for the County of Napa. In her seven-year tenure she worked on controversial land use projects, the Climate Action Plan, and complicated environmental analysis. Prior to her work in Napa, she worked in the private development community and comes with a breadth of experience. She holds certificates in Real Estate Development and Small Wind Energy Systems from the University of California, Davis and is an accredited professional in Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) by the United States Green Building Council (USGBC). Gerosa earned a Master of Engineering with a concentration in sustainable land development from the Massey University of New Zealand and a B.A. in environmental studies & planning from Sonoma State University.
