Thompson Coburn is pleased to announce that intellectual property attorney Brian G. Arnold has joined the firm as a partner in our Los Angeles office. Brian’s practice focuses on patent, trademark, and copyright litigation as well as other complex commercial cases involving intellectual property matters.

Brian says that Thompson Coburn had many of the qualities he was looking for, including a national presence and a growing intellectual property practice in the Los Angeles legal community.

Brian has litigated patent infringement matters involving a wide variety of other technologies, including medical devices, computer hardware and software, automotive technology, consumer products, electronics, and food products. He also represents clients in trademark, trade secrets, and copyright litigation throughout the country. Brian also facilitates patent portfolio sales, patent and trademark licensing, and trademark registration in various industries.

Brian has been selected as a Southern California Super Lawyer for Intellectual Property Litigation – an honor reserved for less than five percent of all attorneys – every year from 2014-2017.

He is a past president of the Los Angeles Intellectual Property Law Association and a board member of Young & Healthy, a Pasadena nonprofit that provides access to high-quality health care for uninsured and underserved children and families.

Brian received his law degree from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles. He earned and M.A. in education from the Claremont Graduate University and a B.A. in mathematics from Pomona College.
