Arnold & Porter LLP announced today that Denise McKenzie has joined the firm as counsel in its growing intellectual property practice.   Ms. McKenzie will focus her practice on IP and patent infringement litigation, dividing her time between the firm’s Los Angeles and Silicon Valley offices.  The firm has continued to make strategic additions to its west coast patent litigation practice, adding lawyers who combine both trial skills and key technological backgrounds.  Firmwide, Arnold & Porter’s Intellectual Property team includes more than 100 attorneys.

Ms. McKenzie’s diverse IP practice comprises cases involving computer architecture, semi-conductor technology, computer software and hardware, and Internet technology.  For more than 15 years, she has handled patent and high technology litigation matters, including both bench and jury trials.  Prior to  her law career, Ms. McKenzie worked for eight years as an electrical engineer, designing navigation and control systems for Hughes Aircraft Company.

A graduate of the University of Southern California Gould School of Law, Ms. McKenzie also holds a masters degree from USC in electrical engineering. She has been recognized as both a “Rising Star” and a “Super Lawyer” by Southern California Super Lawyers.
