Tad will be a definite asset to the San Francisco office.”

Mr. Devlin’s practice is focused on commercial litigation; life, health and disability insurance; ERISA and FINRA matters and criminal defense. He counsels and advises on insurance matters of all types, including coverage issues, bad faith, defense monitoring and counseling. He has also defended state and federal government enforcement actions in criminal and civil matters, professional liability matters, and financial services matters, lending and banking disputes, landlord/tenant and real property disputes, corporate malfeasance, fiduciary liability, and enforcement of judgments and debts. Mr. Devlin has also defended and counseled corporate and individual clients concerning claims of food mislabeling, corporate bribery and improper kickbacks.

“KDVG is a great fit with my prior experience and current practice skills and interests,” said Mr. Devlin. “The firm exudes a dynamic energy and is well positioned for strategic growth in this region and nationwide. There is significant synergy between my practice and the work KDVG increasingly attracts. I am very enthusiastic about this career change and the new opportunity with KDVG.”

Prior to joining Willis | DePasquale, Mr. Devlin managed the Northern California ERISA Practice, and assisted with the growth and management of the Life, Health and Disability Insurance Practice at Gordon & Rees. Before that, he was a felony prosecutor at the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office, where he successfully prosecuted numerous felony and misdemeanor trials, including violent and white collar criminals.

A 1997 graduate of the University of the Pacific’s McGeorge School of Law, Mr. Devlin frequently speaks and publishes on topics of interest to practitioners and clients (such as insurers), as well as provides in-house claims training and seminars for businesses.
