Nossaman LLP announces the addition of Steven E. Knott as a partner in the Firm’s Los Angeles office. Mr. Knott is an experienced trial lawyer specializing in commercial disputes, insurance coverage, environmental, and construction litigation.

With 23 years of experience, Mr. Knott has handled more than 40 jury and bench trials as lead counsel in a wide range of areas including insurance, fraud, breach of contract, unfair competition, groundwater contamination, asbestos, computer network disputes, petroleum franchise disputes and product liability defense. Before entering private practice, Mr. Knott worked in-house for Texaco Inc., taking numerous state and federal lawsuits to trial and arguing appeals. In 2001, he formed his own firm, Knott & Glazier LLP, and has represented clients such as PepsiAmericas, Crane Co., Lockheed Martin and Philips Electronics.

Mr. Knott’s extensive trial experience includes briefing and arguing appeals before the Ninth Circuit and California Courts of Appeal, and briefing a case before the United States Supreme Court to defeat certiorari.

Mr. Knott earned his J.D. from the University of California at Davis School of Law (1990) and his B.A from the University of California, Berkeley (1983). Before law school, Mr. Knott served as a field artillery cannon battery officer in the United States Marine Corps, First Marine Amphibious Brigade and as a non-lawyer prosecutor.
