Nossaman LLP announces the arrival of Tom Curtis and Mitchell Green as partners in the firm’s Orange County and San Francisco offices, respectively. The attorneys, both formerly with Curtis & Green LLP, further strengthen the firm’s robust healthcare practice.

With more than 35 years of experience, Mr. Curtis represents clients in the healthcare sector on a wide range of matters, including medical staff peer review proceedings, licensing proceedings, writ proceedings, state and federal court civil litigation, and related appellate proceedings. He represents medical staffs, medical groups and other healthcare entities on regulatory compliance issues, drafting of bylaws, policies, procedures and hearing plans, and in the development of long-range plans. His experience enhances Nossaman’s healthcare practice in the Orange County market.

Mr. Curtis is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation. He is a frequent lecturer and author on current health law issues. Mr. Curtis earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center (1974) and his B.S. from Santa Clara University (1971), where he was awarded the Ryland Prize and Foch Medal.

Mr. Green has more than 25 years of experience representing individual physicians, medical groups and medical staffs in civil, regulatory and administrative matters. He has represented clients in medical staff proceedings, Medical Board of California disciplinary actions and managed care delistments. In addition, Mr. Green has worked on partnership and employment disputes and ancillary business matters, such as lease disputes, practice appraisals, and enforcement of covenants not to compete.

Mr. Green earned his J.D., Order of the Coif, with honors, from the University of Texas at Austin School of Law (1982), where he served on the Texas Law Review. He received his B.A., Phi Beta Kappa, with honors, from the University of Texas at Austin (1979).
