Hood has joined the firm’s Orange County office as Partner.  Mr. Hood, previously a partner at Paul Hastings, brings with him extensive class action litigation and trial experience.

Mr. Hood routinely counsels and represents employers in a variety of matters, including wage and hour class actions, wrongful termination cases, employment discrimination charges and lawsuits, labor relations, employee benefits counseling and litigation, trade secret disputes and sexual harassment litigation.  He has first-chaired numerous jury and bench trials, including class actions.

Mr. Hood speaks regularly on employment law issues for human resources professional groups and bar associations and contributes articles on employment law topics to local business publications.  For the last 15 years, Mr. Hood has been recognized as one of the best employment lawyers in Best Lawyers in America.  He is also a member of the Legion Lex Society of the Inns of Court.

Mr. Hood is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in California.  He received his A.B. from the University of Southern California and his J.D. from the University of California at Los Angeles.

Mr. Hood’s move to Jackson Lewis follows a number of recent high-profile lateral additions across the U.S, including a large group of prominent workplace safety and health attorneys in Denver and the Washington, D.C. Region.
