Kevin C. Trock has joined the Schiff Hardin LLP San Francisco office as a partner in the Intellectual Property Group from Alston & Bird LLP.

Mr. Trock is a seasoned intellectual property lawyer with extensive experience in litigation, administration, transaction and counseling matters involving patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets and unfair competition. He represents clients in the health care, pharmaceutical, biotech, agribusiness, consumer electronics, e-commerce and mass-market retail industries.

Mr. Trock’s litigation experience includes numerous lawsuits and administrative proceedings, including federal and state bench and jury trials, appeals and U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and International Trade Commission proceedings. His transaction and counseling experience includes clearances, applications, registrations, opinions, enforcement, transfer and licensing.

Mr. Trock is the fourth partner to join Schiff Hardin’s Intellectual Property Group in 2013. Duane H. Mathiowetz also joined Schiff Hardin’s San Francisco office earlier this year, and Cindy Yang and Laura C. Brutman joined the firm’s New York office. Mr. Trock graduated from Loyola University Chicago School of Law (J.D., 1992) and Oregon State University (B.S., Biology, 1979; B.S. Science Education, 1980).
