Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, the premier provider of legal services to technology, life sciences, and growth enterprises worldwide, announced today that Andrew Hill has joined the firm’s corporate and securities practice as a partner in the Palo Alto office. Hill was most recently a partner at Goodwin Procter in that firm’s Menlo Park, Calif. office. He was also an associate at WSGR from 2008 to 2013.

Hill has worked with private and public companies, as well as investment banks, venture capital firms, and private equity firms. In addition to having substantial experience working with late-stage private companies throughout their growth stages, he’s also represented public companies in corporate matters. His practice has most often involved negotiating and completing securities offerings and mergers and acquisitions, but he also has advised clients on SEC reporting and governance matters.

“Andy has developed the scope of his corporate practice to the point where he can help a broad range of clients in the transactions that matter the most to their success,” said Doug Clark, managing partner at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. “He has a lot to offer the firm’s clients, based on the strengths of his practice over the past decade, and we are thrilled to welcome Andy back to the firm.”

Hill earned his J.D. from the University of Southern California in 2008, where he served as a senior editor for the Southern California Law Review. He received his B.A. from the University of Colorado in 2002. Prior to practicing law, Hill was a financial analyst at IBM.
