Davis Polk advised Goldman, Sachs & Co., Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Incorporated and Wells Fargo Securities, LLC as joint book-running managers and representatives of the underwriters on an SEC-registered public debt offering by Airgas, Inc. of $250 million principal amount of its 2.9% notes due 2022.

Headquartered in Radnor, Pennsylvania, Airgas is the largest U.S. distributor of industrial, medical and specialty gases delivered in “packaged” or cylinder form, and hardgoods such as welding equipment and supplies. Airgas is also one of the largest U.S. distributors of safety products, the largest U.S. producer of nitrous oxide and dry ice, the largest liquid carbon dioxide producer in the Southeast and a leading distributor of process chemicals, refrigerants and ammonia products.
