A team led by Holland & Knight real estate partners Susan Booth and Martin Miner is representing Overseas Union Enterprise (OUE) with their recently announced plans to acquire the U.S. Bank Tower and related properties, Maguire Gardens and a car park facility, in downtown Los Angeles for $367.5 million. OUE is a Singapore-based diversified real estate owner, developer and operator.
The 72-floor tower is the tallest building west of the Mississippi River, has more than 50 tenants, and is currently owned by a unit of MPG Office Trust, the largest landlord in downtown Los Angeles. The deal is expected to close towards the end of June.
Holland & Knight serves as lead counsel to OUE in the acquisition with a team of attorneys in the firm’s Los Angeles, San Francisco, and New York assisting.
