Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP is pleased to announce that Michael Flynn has joined the firm’s Orange County office as a partner.  Flynn was formerly a partner at Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth, where he served as chair of the Corporate and Securities Practice.  He will continue his corporate practice with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions and capital markets transactions.

About Michael Flynn

In his 26 years of practice, Flynn has developed a corporate practice working in the areas of M&A and corporate securities.  His M&A experience includes representation of acquirers, targets and special committees in numerous transactions, including negotiated mergers, asset and stock sales and joint ventures for both public and private companies.  He also has experience counseling publicly held companies on corporate governance matters and other complex securities law issues.

His clients have included high-growth technology, life science and manufacturing companies, as well as equity funds and investment banking firms.  He has handled high-profile transactions for companies that include Yard House Restaurants, LLC, Newport Corporation, TGV Capital Partners, LLC and Innovate Partners, LLC.  He is currently representing The Balboa Bay Club and The Newport Beach Country Club in its pending acquisition by a Chinese investor.

In addition to serving as chair of the Corporate and Securities Practice at Stradling Yocca, Flynn also served as chair of the Executive Committee.

Flynn received his J.D. from Loyola Law School in 1985, where he served as editor of the International Law Journal, and his B.B.A. from the University of Notre Dame in 1982.
