Nossaman LLP adds Geoffrey Etnire as a partner in the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group. Mr. Etnire will split his time between the firm’s San Francisco and Washington, DC offices. His move to the firm comes on the heels of the recent additions of real estate partners Tony and Sylvia Arostegui in the Sacramento office and Daniel Katz in the Los Angeles office.

“We have made it a priority to strategically add talented laterals to our real estate practice, and Geoff is part of that strategy,” said Karla MacCary, Chair of Nossaman’s Real Estate Practice Group. “Geoff will complement the practice, adding a strong Silicon Valley, Washington, D.C. and east coast component. He has dedicated his career to the practice of real estate and land use law, with particularly strong expertise in project advocacy. I know that our clients and attorneys will greatly benefit from his extensive experience.”

Mr. Etnire joins the firm from Hoge, Fenton, Jones & Appel, Inc., where he was Founder of the Real Estate Group. He focuses on advising and representing clients in real estate and land use matters and has a strong national client base, including numerous Silicon Valley involvements. With more than two decades of experience representing developers, landowners and investors in the acquisition, sale and leasing of real estate, and particular emphasis on guiding clients through the process of obtaining government approvals, Mr. Etnire has resolved environmental, subdivision, development, municipal and redevelopment issues throughout California.

“Nossaman’s real estate practice has seen some exciting growth recently, and I couldn’t think of a better time to move over,” said Mr. Etnire. “I look forward to joining a firm with a well-established, diverse client base and outstanding reputation across practice areas.”

Mr. Etnire earned his J.D. from Stanford University (1973), his B.S in economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania (1970) and attended the London School of Economics and Political Science at the University of London (1969). He is a member of the State Bar of California Real Property, Tax Law, Environmental Law Sections and the Santa Clara County Bar Association.
