Perkins Coie is pleased to announce it has expanded its Bay Area corporate finance practice with the additions of Justin Bastian and Nora Gibson. Justin, based in Palo Alto, will serve as head of the California Capital Markets practice, and Nora is based in San Francisco. Both have extensive experience with company-side and under-writer-side public offerings, securities compliance and M&A transactions.

“Justin and Nora are great additions to the Capital Markets team,” said Michael Glaser, firmwide chair of Perkins Coie’s Corporate practice. “They will expand and strengthen the capabilities of our California Capital Markets practice. I am delighted to welcome them into the firm partnership.”

Justin has worked on both the company and underwriter-side of over 80 public offerings for a vast array of industries, including software, communications, clean tech, Internet, semiconductor and semiconductor equipment, and real estate investment trusts. He regularly lectures at seminars and conferences on various ’33 Act and ‘34 Act law matters. Justin earned his J.D. and received his B.A and MBA from BrighamYoung University.

Nora has acted as the lead attorney for growth-oriented technology and biotechnology companies in over 100 initial public offerings. Nora earned her J.D. (cum laude) from the University of San Francisco School of Law and received her B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley.

Before joining Perkins Coie, Justin was a partner with Sidley Austin LLP and Nora was a partner at Covington & Burling LLP.
